About Us
We have approximately 36 players with many of those having played with us since the age of 7.
Those players make up the Eagles and Falcons teams with both teams playing in competitive leagues with our focus being to improve both squads whilst continuing to make football fun and giving as many kids as we can as much game time as possible.

Sponsors
The U11s Team would like to say a huge thank you to the sponsors of their new match day kit and training tops. The sponsors are Keedwell Group, Kingscote Accountancy, Hunter Stables and Tailfinn. The money provided by the sponsors means that the squad can now enjoy wearing a kit that fit’s them better and will hopefully last them 2 to 3 years. Don’t grow any more U11s!!!

Match Reports
Burnham 1 – 3 Long Ashton Eagles
Well, that was good!
I’m sure most of us remember the defeat to Burnham earlier on in the season when they beat us 2 – 1 on this ground which we felt was a very harsh result that day.
Everyone was clearly eager to avenge that defeat but we started off really sluggishly. Though we had quite a bit of possession, we weren’t passing the ball very well nor closing down players and were second to most balls.
We took everyone available so had fresh legs and put everyone on half way through the first half to try and change things. Both sides had their chances, but we still weren’t quite up to speed and Burnham took a long range shot on about 14 minutes and took the lead. There was not much Macs could do.
I can’t remember when it was but we nearly went 2-0 down and would have bar from a last gasp clearance from Lucas in front of an open net. Phew!
We battled on until half time and then had a chat with the players just highlighting the above and asked them to start getting to the ball quicker and winning the duels and that if they did that then things would change.
That’s then exactly what happened. Everyone battled harder and started playing more as a team. Communication improved, the passing stepped up a notch and with that came the first goal. We were back in it and on the up!
During the second half we decided to play a bit more attacking as the CDM position wasn’t really working for us today. We changed to two strikers and that definitely helped us up front with more opportunities. More chances came and then the second goal and the relief of the third.
The only thing to do then was to ensure we kept our shape and didn’t let in late goals like last week. The team battled hard and kept to the task and we managed a small change at the end to give Macs a few minutes outfield too. Thanks to Josh R for stepping in to goal.
We appreciate that we had lots of subs today but tried to ensure everyone got equal game time. Everyone had at least 25 minutes and though we know everyone would have liked more, you could see they were all buzzing to get the win and to be part of the team today which was great for them all and for the team spirit.
The goal scorers were Josh R (2) and Rufus.
