We’re supporting the FA’s Play Safe campaign again this season. This year’s theme is “Keep Up The Convo” – it’s about everyone in football (coaches, volunteers, committee) making sure the kids feel listened to, not just when something’s wrong but week in, week out.
There’s more on the campaign on the Play Safe hub, including some free activity sheets you can download for different age groups.
Useful bits if you’re interested
- The FA has a free, 30-minute online safeguarding awareness course for parents and carers – plenty of parents find it reassuring.
- Our Club Welfare Officer can be reached at [email protected] – feel free to get in touch about anything, big or small.
- If you’d like to know more about how we vet and train our coaches (DBS checks and so on), just ask – we’re always happy to talk about it.
- Our club codes of conduct are on our Welfare page.
If something’s ever worrying you
Please get in touch with our Club Welfare Officer at [email protected], or speak to any committee member. The FA also has guidance on raising a concern. If a child is in immediate danger, call 999.
